Nishant Shah


Expert of Asian cybercultures

Nishant Shah is currently working on his dissertation The Technosocial Subject: Cities, Cyborgs and Cyberspace in the Centre for the Study of Culture and Society (CSCS), Bangalore, India. He has worked as a cybercultural consultant for multinational companies and as an information architect for academic and political organisations in India. He has been deeply immersed in the cybercultures discourse and practice in India in the last decade, initially as a participant and eventually in his role as a researcher. In the last four years of his Ph.D. research, Shah has been actively involved in looking at the aesthetics of cyberspace and how they overflow into the lived cultural practices in the context of globalised India.
